BioI am a somewhat odd person, and I am alright with that. I am a junior Biology major with minors in Humanities and Psychology. I want to be an epidemiologist and work with the under/unserved. Yes, I know I am a hopeless idealist and will probably starve. I love to write stories, but I don't do fan-fiction. I love reading, and I can enjoy most types of books. My favorite writers are Neil Gaiman, Frank Herbert, and Francine Rivers. I also appreciate Romantic (as in from the romantic era not as in nauseating sappiness) poetry. Music is a huge part of my life, and I would go crazy without it. My favorites are Pink Floyd, Snow Patrol, Death Cab for Cutie, Linkin Park, Barlow Girl, and Superchick. I listen to everything but rap, and that is negotiable. I love school, though it has a knack for stressing me out. My family is the source of some of my idiosyncrasies but not all of them. My friends are the source of the others. I like to joke that I'm personally conservative but politically liberal. I guess that results from being the daughter of a gay man and the grand-daughter of a Pentecostal preacher. Oddly enough, I haven't conformed to either of their views completely. One of the most shaping factors in my life, which has kept me sane through all the chaos, is my faith, Christianity. Mind you, I'm referring to the true Biblical Christianity, not the culturally influenced Western version of Christianity, which has some things right but not all. Anyway, I'm an person who loves to write and read fiction, study science, and worship God.
